Precision Nutrition with Mane & Mineral Testing

When it comes to your horse’s health, precision matters. Mane and mineral testing offers a science-backed approach to understanding your horse’s unique nutritional needs.

how it works

By analyzing a small sample of your horse's mane, we can uncover critical insights into mineral imbalances and heavy metal exposure that might be impacting your horse’s performance, appearance, or overall well-being.

why it works

Unlike blood work, which provides a snapshot of your horse’s current state, a mane and mineral test reflects trends over the past 90 days, giving a more complete picture of your horse’s internal health. This allows us to create targeted nutrition plans that eliminate unnecessary supplements, save you money, and focus on what your horse truly needs.

Whether you’re managing a performance athlete or a cherished companion, this test helps take the guesswork out of feeding and empowers you to make informed decisions that lead to measurable results.

Proactive, Practical Plans for Long-Term Results

Hey, I'm Emma

founder & practitioner

My passion for equine wellness started with my own horses. Facing seemingly unsolvable challenges, I discovered the transformative power of targeted nutrition and wellness planning. Today, I’m proud to offer science-backed solutions that help horses heal from within and prevent future problems.

What sets me apart is my independence—I'm not tied to any single feed or supplement company, allowing me to choose the best options for your horse’s unique needs and your budget. Clients often describe me as organized, proactive, and deeply committed to their horse’s success.

my Credentials

I received my certification for Equine Nutrition from Equine Energy Medicine under Dr. Audrey Mclaughlin, and I am currently working towards my Professional Energy Medicine Certification. I also am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies.

“Emma is truly a pleasure to work with!"

"As a client of hers, she gave me so many options to try for my horses and is always there to answer a quick question or give another supplement option! All three of my horses have benefited tremendously from her protocols and I feel like I’ve learned a lot myself! As a fellow equine professional I have never hesitated to refer a client to her as I know she is a wealth of knowledge and will care for each horse with the love she gives her own horses!"

- Dr. Madi Cooper

"Looking forward to working with Emma again in the near future!”

"My new horse Waylon had been having some issues with his feet. They were dry, cracking, and dishy in appearance due to a previous laminitis episode of unknown causes. I wanted to get to the root of the problem so I decided to get a mane and mineral test done to see what dietary changes could be made to help improve the quality of his feet. Working with Emma has been effortless! Once sending off the mane sample she kept in contact to keep me updated on when my results were expected to be back. Once they were back, she called and we walked through all of them together. She answered the one million questions I had without hesitation and at the end of the call we had a plan! She also took the time to write up all the supplements I needed to add/change/continue along with dosages so I could reference it anytime I needed to."

- Kelly McKinnon

“As an equine veterinarian, nutrition is one of the most important factors when treating and maintaining a horse's health."

"Emma's knowledge base is substantial and her passion shows through whenever having a discussion. From our 5 minute conversations to hour-long consultations of mutual clients, it is evident that she is in the field meant for her. I always look forward to working with her and seeing the difference we can make in a horse's health together. Thank you for everything that you do.”
